7th - 9th August
Join us for dreamy August days and hikes under the Summer sun. Our thoughtfully curated August weekend will leave you feeling recharged and refreshed, with new friends and skills to call on next time you head for the hills.
We like to keep things as simple and fuss-free as possible, but trust us we leave no mossy stone unturned when it comes to having a good time. One thing we know for sure, is that mountains aren't just funny, they're hill areas...
Ideally situated to enjoy full mountain days and clear starry nights, Crashpad Lodges is as authentic as they come. Set in the heart of North Snowdonia, we've chosen this unique off-grid bunkhouse as a bolt hole and launch pad for our mountain adventures as it really is magic. Accessible only by foot or 4x4 (there's a river crossing) the adventure begins on the approach.
With simple but comfy bunk-style beds, there is ample space to cosy up or enjoy the fresh air in your down time. A communal dining area is where we join at breakfast and dinner before retiring to the comfy lounge or outside campfire to share adventure tales under starry skies.
Located in the foothills of Snowdon, our adventure bolt hole Crash Pad Lodges is fully off-grid so requires an adventurous approach! Whether you're travelling by car, train, bike (you legend) or a combination of them all we'll give you more detailed travel options on booking. The nearest train stations are Betwys-Y-Coed and Llandudno, both of which require a taxi or bus to get to the village of Llanberis which is a short journey from us.
There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing (or so they say!) Yes, we prefer clear skies and a gentle breeze, but we get out there come rain or shine and believe it's part of the learning experience. That being said, ensuring you have the right kit will make everything a lot more enjoyable so we've thrown together a list for what we think you'll need on the mountain.
We'd be happy to suggest our fave brands, bits and bobs so do drop us a line if you'd like any advice. We recommend ticking off your items as you go and doing a test wander in your gear if it's brand spanking new.
